My Background Info

My program offers a warm, safe, and loving home environment for your 2½ -5 yr old. Emphasis is placed on creative play, practical life skills (such as cleaning, cooking, and washing), wholesome imitation, music, movement games, finger plays, seasonal crafts, and artistic activities. A daily rhythm/schedule provides us with the structure needed to develop healthy social, emotional, and intellectual skills.

I am a mom of a 4-year-old girl and 10-year-old boy. My son attends The Austin Waldorf School in Oak Hill. I have been greatly impressed by his school and weave many Waldorf ideas into my home program. I taught at The Imagination School (a pre-school), was a nanny for two years, worked with kindergarteners at the Waldorf School for one year, I have been a Sunday school teacher, and have been a caregiver for many other children. I am currently taking classes to get my teacher's certification. I also enjoy attending classes and conferences to better myself so that I can best serve you and your child.
